BORNO STATE TO EMPLOY 3000 TEACHERS

The state government of Borno has set up four vocational centers which will be in charge of recruiting3,000 teachers in the next two years. The vocational centers are located in Mafa, Maiduguri, Kwaya/Kusar and Magumeri to graduate 6,000 to 8,000 unemployed youths within the next two 10 years. The state government of Borno is to partner with the Government of Morocco to establish a vocational school in Maiduguri and it is expected to cost of N4 billion. This was brought to the knowledge of the press this weekend by the state Governor Babagana Zulum. Marking the Democracy Day and two years anniversary in Maiduguri, the state capital. “We shall do everything possible to ensure that qualified teachers are recruited into the primary education system,” he said. While examining the poor primary education system in the state, he said: “Most of the primary school teachers in Mafa, Nganzai Monguno, finds it difficult to spell. And that propare and more qualified teachers would be employed this time.
